LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Hagan Consulting is an independent consultancy that works on large scale computer systems & networks for government clients. We have successfully completed our first year of business, and are now looking into ways to grow from a consultancy into a broader range of services. To that end, we have begun partnering with companies like Microsoft, Cisco, & HP. The past business of the company has been all from client referral and inside sales.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
The shift from pure consultancy to services with an "outside sales" component means that Hagan Consulting now needs a brand & image to present to customers. This logo design project is the first step in that process.
Part of successful business is knowing when you need help. We're a company of hard core computer folk, and we need your help to design a great logo!
The logo will be used first on our upcoming website, then also on business cards and possibly stationary & brochures. More importantly, this project will help us establish relationships with crowdSPRING creatives that will hopefully prove valuable during our ongoing brand development efforts. Over the next 6 months, we anticipate development of a website and printed marketing materials for some of our service offerings.
For the logo project, we need something that is sharp, professional, and iconic. Ideally, the logo would have a symbolic component that could also stand alone w/o "Hagan Consulting" text added. For example, the "block of S-es" Sun Microsystems logo or almost any automotive branding. We have no pre-defined colors, but do prefer vibrant, memorable designs. However, future use on stationary & cards may require B&W or spot color printing, so please be prepared to present a B&W version of your design if selected.
We're operating out of our realm of familiarity here, so don't be afraid to show us what you've got!
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our existing customer base is Fortune 500 companies doing business with government agencies like the Dept. of Defense and Dept. of Justice. These companies are monolithic and conservative, but the individuals we do business with inside those companies are not! The teams and managers are engaged in the most high tech areas of IT. They have iPhones and cool gadgets and wear Hawaiian shirts to work. (Ok, they don't all wear Hawaiian shirts...)
We are also expanding to service local and state governments, and amenity businesses (hotels, coffee shops, malls) especially in the field of wireless networking. For these clients, we represent a skill pool above what they normally have available. We serve as the heavy hitter who can come in to execute a project above the native capability of their organization.
Both of these client groups need to continue to see us as providing the highest quality technical expertise.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Google - simplicity & vibrance
LG - iconic, symbol incorporating name and doubling as smiling face
Nokia - distinctive typeface
Mercedes - iconic
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Vibrant colors.
Iconic elements.
Other than that, we're cutting you guys (and gals) loose to show us what you've got!
