What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo
Hachidori will be a parent company that encompasses many different products and services. Because of this, we are looking for a logo that resonates with a large variety of people. Also, we do not want the logo to be confined to any particular category. Think of Helvetica, its success lies within its chameleon nature, it takes the style of its context. Just like that we want the logo to appeal to a wide audience, old and young, and of both sexes.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
1. class - we would like our logo to communicate class, not necessarily luxury, but quality. Simple yet classy.
2. confidence - the logo should instill confidence in our customers by setting an example
3. permanence - when people look at the logo they should feel reassured by the endurance and stability of our company
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Image and text with the ability for the image to be recognized in isolation. Also, if one letter of the text could be extracted (a la facebook or twitter, all the better. However, this is not required.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
As we mentioned above, we want the logo to be mature and evoke class. Thus, we don't wish to have any gaudy colors. However, if you think something would work, by all means show us. You know better than we do in this regard.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Pink or any other obnoxiously loud colors
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Web and print
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
Hachidori is the Japanese word for hummingbird. We chose this name in part because of a serendipitous encounter with a hummingbird, and in part because we think that the nature of a hummingbird is a perfect embodiment of our brand's image. A hummingbird is elegant, yet agile. Quick, but able to stand still. Graceful and composed.
It is not required to incorporate this into the logo, but if you find it helpful as inspiration, hachidori is written in Japanese as either:
