LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a start-up technology company called Gymboo.com. We aim to be the most comprehensive and useful health & fitness resource online for everyone from personal trainers, their clients, gyms, sports centres and even professional athletes.
As fitness fanatics who also work with health and fitness professionals, we pride ourselves in sharing and understanding the needs of our health-conscious users. We love to keep fit and share our challenges and above all, we like to keep things fun and dont take ourselves too seriously.
Its very important to us that this positive attitude and playfulness comes across in our brand and logo. The message should be inspiring and fun but without being too silly or childish either. We want our users to feel we take their health and fitness pursuits seriously, but in a way that makes them smile and motivated.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need our first logo, which will be used on our website, business cards, press releases, etc.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
It is a website which provides the following:
For professionals working in the fitness and health industries (e.g. personal trainers, osteopaths etc) it offers the facility to more easily manage their clients by simplifying common tasks such as scheduling/bookings, payments and tracking the progress of individual fitness programmes.
For their clients (ie people who use personal trainers) it offers a comprehensive and useful online resource to easily manage, support and enjoy their health and fitness pursuits in a social environment: download & share nutrition and workout programmes, setup, monitor and share fitness progress and the facility to search, schedule appointments and setup payments with health and fitness professionals.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Simple, clever, elegant
we're interested in options that include small little 'character' graphics (no more than 1) on the logo, something that could become recognisable on its own (e.g. Googles G, or the Apple logo, etc)
The logo needs to be in colour but should also work in black and white too
Needs to work in small sizes as well as large
Fun, spunky, but not overdone and not too busy or big
We like:
Innocent Smoothies, www.innocent.co.uk we love the positivity of this company and think their logo is simple, elegant and very charismatic.
Imcooked, http://www.imcooked.com we love how the graphic is gently incorporated into the writing
Kaloo, http://www.kaloo-usa.com/, we love the simple elegance, understated yet still suggestive of childhood
Ocado, http://www.ocado.com
Rachels Organic, www.rachelsorganic.co.uk

(We have attached a file showing other logos we like)
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
No reflections under any circumstances, no drop shadows, no bubbly fonts (http://www.mailbigfile.com/) and no thick cartoony borders (again http://www.mailbigfile.com/)
Other brands / logos we dont like:
