LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
MBA Prep School is an online learning company that offers a comprehensive, integrated curriculum of courses that prepare young professionals for the hyper-competitive process of applying to the world's top business schools.
The term "Prep School" has a connotation of an elite, high-quality education that readies its students for the Ivy Leagues and gives them an edge in the admissions process. MBA Prep School wants be a blend of this elite, Ivy image but also a can-do, do-it-yourself, make-your-own-breaks attitude.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
MBA Prep School requires a logo, website/fav icon, and complementary color palette that can be used online, on business cards and in offline collateral.
The brand should be trustworthy, wise, knowledgeable, while at the same time conveying innovation, growth and the global experience necessary to help prospective students gain entry to the MBA school of their dreams. We want to be hip and fun and to give prospective clients the sense that classes will be engaging, interesting, and even entertaining. But again there is a balance and a serious side too -- the belief that by joining this community you will be learning secrets that will give you a competitive edge over other candidates.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
MBA Prep School will be targeting young professionals (ages 22 - 28) who plan to apply to the world's top business schools within the next year. Our potential students are our highest priority target audience. Another audience target is our existing and future "faculty." MBA Prep School will supply lectures from experts across a variety of fields such as resume gurus, creative writing teachers, and marketing professors; so we need to attract top-talent. A third audience is providers of other relevant training resources (e.g., GMAT Test Prep courses).
Major target customer segments could include:
* Banker/Consultants: Time-Starved, Type A, has to win
* "Over-represented: International Applicants (Indian/Chinese)
* Career Switcher: Military, Engineers, MDs
* Upper-Middle Class Family/ High Value on Education
* "Under-represented" Applicants who lack access to information and guidance from peers and mentors
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
As background it will be worth the designer reviewing Knewton.com (logo and overall design attitude), ClearAdmit.com (color/layout), and TED (clean layout) for inspiration. We have a bias towards uncluttered, Google, Apple, etc. look and feel.
MBA Prep School is an on-line campus and therefore academic/educational images and/or themes (e.g., campus, professors, libraries, and student community) *could* be appropriate. We want students to be supportive of one another. Fellow students are not competitors, rather they are supportive, collaborators on this journey. All of this *could* (but does not have to) be reflected subtly in the logo design.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
No "absolutes" -- we are excited to see what you come up with!
We are open to a logo that is either just upon the business name (i.e., MBA Prep School) OR includes a symbol/image with the business name.
Please note that we do *not* want the ".com" on the end.
