LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a non-profit organization that focuses on improving the health of Texas through promotion of physical activity and healthy living. We have 3 obesity prevention programs and host a 5K,10K race each spring. We are changing our name from Texas Round-Up to GetFitTexas!

GetFitTexas! is also the name of the tool on our website that people can use to log their physical activity and view their progress free of charge. www.texasroundup.org

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Something cool, professional, and catchy, but not high-school retro/trendy. Something that communicates visually: health and wellness with a touch of texas. Something that is appealing to an age group spanning 17 to 50. We will be using the logo on program brochures, our website, and possibly as a part of all of our race materials, which are distributed at marathon/10K race expos throughout Texas between November and March each year. Could also be used on an event t-shirt. It could be placed near our "fitkids" logo which you can see on our website www.texasroundup.org and click on "fitkids."

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Texas families. We have a FitKids program with it's own look, so GetFitTexas! can be more geared towards adults.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

we like our 2009 race logo in general, but it isn't catchy enough for an organizational logo. we do not like 2007 initiative logo or 2008 fitness festival .

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

No cowboys, horses, or old texas stuff. One of our original logos had a laso around "texas round up" similar to the current NBC show "biggest looser" logo - we don't want lasos and cowboy hats. I would like to see something that is cool, but not quicksilverish. fun, but not food pyramid, kid focused. classy and professional, but not stuffy.
