Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
The prime means of accessing vast and often unknown information is through a keyword-based search engine (e.g. Google). But the raw text of search results is not "understandable" by software that could mash interesting bits together in order to provide an integrated solution rather than just a search result. Imagine a mobile app that finds not just the best place for you to meet friends but also suggests the metro lines and departure times to get there on time. Semantic Web and Linked Data make information from one provider (e.g. Transport Authority) "understandable" by third-party software apps.
Fusepool provides software for detecting, matching, and linking diverse data resources ('fusing') as well as a platform and apps for integrating ('pooling') timely, context-aware and needs-oriented information based on user preferences.
We follow the design principles which are discussed here: http://ux.artu.tv/?p=179
- Light, Clean, Open, Fast (Fierce Reduction)
- Content, not Effects
- Typography
No-gos are shading, 3D effects, techie-style (hard, cold), or text outlines (like in Twitter). The logo must reflect the idea and spirit of Fusepool and be unique. You are free to use any colors, especially the W3C Semantic Web colors (if unsure google), but the logo must be convincing in greyscale or black/white. We love the minimalism of Swiss Style Graphic Design: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2009/07/...
