LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a web startup based in Hong Kong looking to start an online review site. We've already got a layout and some of the programming done (pls see http://www.okla.com.hk). Currently, the reviews are aimed at nightlife, restaurants, and shopping, but we may expand beyond that. The logo (and design) currently suck and need some work.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a fun, snazzy logo for the site. The logo should be relatively simple and scalable (i.e. should look good even if it is a little small). It should also fit in a rectangle that is around 3-4 times as long as it is tall (look good where the current Ok La logo is now).
Any small props you can think of (voice balloons would be one, but not very original, maybe a map / compass, maybe a star .. maybe something else) could add something to the design also, but not required.
Though we want it fun and catchy, it also shouldn't be too over the top and should be relatively simple and versatile.
Visit the web site (http://www.okla.com.hk) and you should have a good idea of what we're looking for.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our initial target audience is people from around the world living in HK, but mainly those who are young professionals between 22 and 35, like to go out, into the Internet and social media, both male and female.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Though we are in HK, we don't want anything HK specific, so don't put the HK flag or Chinese characters or anything.
Otherwise, we are open to color scheme (doesn't have to be the brown at all, can be something completely different -- maybe a more fun lively color), icons used, etc. We are looking for something that is wider than it is taller.
We like either "Ok La!" or "Ok La" ..
