LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

we're a Clinical Research Organization. We do testing on drugs that pharmaceutical companies have discovered. We're an outsource organization and we take those drugs all over the world and do testing to ensure they are safe and get results. The pharmaceutical industry has typically been fat and happy but times are changing and we bring a very different approach and results (we can save time and money off of trials). The main focus for us is that we can determine safety and efficacy faster (so people are not at risk) and we can go through trials faster (10-25% faster with less cost - so that those people that need it can get those life or quality of life enhancing drugs faster - good for the pharmaceutical and good for those people that have that particular disease and condition). We've always felt we've been at the forefront of keeping medical costs down while saving lives (but that's the legacy and purpose of what we do - the market is to the pharmaceutical and in their case we bring costs down and get trials completed faster so they get to market faster).

We've been around for 20 years and have never advertised, have not had salespeople (just the CEO), and no marketing department. But we do now. We're 3 people strong but are more focused on execution and don't have the real talen on the graphics side. Our company has a unique approach that was a bit ahead of it's time. We've grown to 140 people by just word of mouth and clearly it's been innovators and early adoptors that have used us. Once they start using us then we have them for life. the sense is that industry is finally ready for us and we need to a look/feel and marketing to set us up. The good news is that no one knows about us (we have no bad brand to fight through and we have an excellent reputation for those who do), the bad news is no one knows about us. So, the initial logo, colors, look/feel is going to be the pivot for the what we do in the future.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Logo signature that can be used in a variety of ways - tiny as on email signatures, large as in trade show booths, we want an icon and font that speaks to our positioning and sets us apart from everyone else. Since we have something that is on the leading edge we should look like the leader that we are (Michael Rosenberg, our CEO, is about to publish a book - Fall of 2009 - has been on CNN, in Forbes, before congress - but no one knows (yet) because we've been so darn low key). Time to change. Alot of companies have been scared by what we offer but we're getting more calls now because our industry has to change and the pain is getting acute and we have, arguably, the only answer (certainly the only one that is adaptive, tested, and robust). So, it's time for us. We hope that the logo can stand on it's own so over time it won't need the text (company name or tagline) associated with it. Our industry will just recognize the icon as us.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Mid- and Large- Pharmaceutical companies, although BioTech has been our traditional sweet spot. BioTech typically needs agile, responsive, and knowledgeable partners because they usually only have one drug to test and alot is riding on it and they depend on our expertise and integrated systems and people (by the way, our people have been cited time and again for excellent customer service and responsiveness).
