Critical Pass, LLC
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo
Our primary target audience is graduating law school students preparing to take the bar exam. Credibility is a significant factor in determining which company's study aids to purchase. Other customers may include law school graduates already working in a legal position who are taking the exam for a 2nd or 3rd time. Our logo must appeal to a very educated, sophisticated and discerning demographic, exuding sophistication, and credibility.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
1. We sell educational flash cards
2. We sell a quality product for a sophisticated audience
3. Our product enables learning/thinking
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Text and Image. Some sample logos we like in particular for their clean, sophisticated style include: Culinary Zen, Tivo, Pixar, and XM
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Sample logos containing colors we like include:
- like the greens and blues together
- like the colors in here together
- like the color combos, even this light, citrus-y orange
- like the color combo and clean, but don't like white for color of "logo"
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Generally, we would like to avoid RED. Since the goal is to PASS the Bar Exam, red typically has a negative or contradictory connotation.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Our logo will be printed on our flash cards (sold to customers) and used on our website.
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
Yes. Attached are some rough sketches of what we envision the Critical Pass logo COULD look like. These are only ideas and are not the only ideas. There are 8 different designs, almost all incorporating a lightbulb or an outline of a person's head (i.e. connoting thinking, learning, etc.). We like sketches #1 and #4 a lot, and also see potential in #6 and #8. At minimum, we need a designer to take these sketches a step further, bringing them to life with artwork, various font ideas and color to exude a clean, bold, sophisticated logo.
