Tell us what you need
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
High fashion - we are a fashion brand, so we want our logo to first and foremost say fashion & style
Quality - we want to anchor the brand at as high quality
Modern/Young - our target customer is 18-35 whereas many of our competitors target women 18-65. we want to come across as modern.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
We're considering 2 directions - either text only or image + text. We will plan to use the logo as a basis for a text logo, facebook/twitter avatar, favicon, and even our clothing label.
If we do an image + text, it could be similar to what many high end brands do (see the examples from high-end brands in attached ppt). The benefit of an image+ text logo is it gives us the flexibility to have a few elements to work with, sometimes using the text alone and the image alone.
For the text - we like capital letters; we like the idea of a fun font for the Q and then simple text for the UINCY. most high end fashion brands (think GUCCI, CHANEL, PRADA, etc.) all use capital letters, mostly block lettering, and some spacing between characters.
