LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a company developing a smartphone application that will allow NYC taxi riders to connect with each other.
The logo will go on shirts, hats, and will eventually be used as the splash logo on the iPhone application itself.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo for our company, Fare/Share, which will help taxi riders in NYC connect with other to save money and have fun.
The logo needs to be memorable, modern, striking, and should incorporate the New York City taxi colors, yellow and black in a clever way. One idea is to use the MTA train line logos (some of which include yellow and black - see below) as well.
You are free to use other New York City icons and landmarks any way you see fit -- think NYC skyline, subway lines, Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, heck, even pigeons. Whatever -- the more creative, modern, striking, the better.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our audience will be highly mobile, tech-savvy people - the foursquare & Facebook crowd. We want the logo to create the impression of motion, connectivity, urban energy while maintaining its roots (New York City taxi-sharing).
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
Here's one of our competitors (http://weeels.org/) -- we want something even cooler than that, OK?
Here's the side of an NYC taxi
Also, don't be afraid to steal from the MTA train lines:
I created this as an example of what you could do combining taxi colors with NYC transit design: http://imgur.com/Wg6uj.png (yeah i know, my mspaint skills suck)
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
The letters F and S (for fareshare), separated by a forward slash (/) if possible, but that's not necessary. So "F/S" is what we'd like, but we're happy with "FS" done in a cool way. The rest is up to you.
