What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
text with or without image
The logo must include the word "fabricATe." (The "AT" capitalized in fabricATe refers to "Assistive Technology" but please do NOT use the words "assistive technology" in the logo.)
The logo can include an image or it can remain text only, but it needs to have visual appeal and convey creativity in an upbeat, joyous attitude. The logo should be usable on printed material and promotional items as well as for electronic dissemination. We would like a logo that can primarily be used in color but it would also work as a black and white image. Please do not use more than two colors for the logo. Please do not use a combination of green and blue as these colors are in use for another related logo.
Color and black and white versions of the logo in each designated file format should be submitted at the conclusion of the project.

Assistive technology is used by individuals with disabilities and, as a result, they experience improvement in their function and have increased opportunity to fully participate in daily life activities. Assistive technology promotes greater independence by enabling people to perform tasks that they were formerly unable to accomplish, or had great difficulty accomplishing. It's all about problem solving and having resources, training and tools to adapt or enhance they way tasks are accomplished
Mission: FabricATe was organized to address the issue of access to no-tech/low-tech assistive tools among individuals with disabilities and/or developmental delays and mobilizes volunteers to design, adapt, modify, create and donate assistive tools and materials.
Vision: To maximize the collective knowledge and talent among members of the general community to support the participation of individuals with disabilities in everyday life activities through the use of assistive tools.
Members: Volunteer crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, scientists, artists, and creative thinkers. A gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do..
Volunteers discuss, brainstorm and make assistive tools, write success stories, coordinate requests, acquire donations, and more
Donate supplies and materials
Provide access to tools/equipment
Provide access to physical space for making, storing, displaying assistive tools
Provide access to virtual space for planning and sharing ideas
Support the use of virtual meeting spaces
Why is fabricATe necessary? Because...
assistive tools can make the difference between a person participating or not
participating in everyday routines and activities.
purchasing assistive tools is prohibitive in some situations.
volunteers can make assistive tools when others are not sure how or do not
have the time.
Volunteers are critical to the success of fabricATe and are essential to its day-to-day operations.
