What do you do?
I'm an artist and designer (and active creative on cS). Rather than design this logo myself, I'm launching a logo design contest that is open to solutions that are elegant, beautiful, crazy, wild, funny, and perhaps dark and/or cynical. This is an opportunity to go wild!
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Everything Is Eating Everything Else.com
Target Audience
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo
People who like having fun on the web
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Living life in our universe is both a strange and wondrous thing... and simultaneously it's a dog eat dog experience where everything is competing for what's available.
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
The logo will be primarily used at the top of the web site, so it needs to be a horizontal rectangle in its dimensions. I'm looking for a logo that combines text and imagery in a unique and inventive way. I generally like logos that are clean and accessible. As mentioned above, this design invites solutions that are elegant, beautiful, crazy, wild, funny, and perhaps dark and/or cynical.
I'm open to whatever styles and fonts each creative wants to explore, but it can't be so busy that it's not accessible and readable. Also, the URL is everythingiseatingeverythingelse.com, so if the name is run together like that it must be done in a way that is legible and readable. Most likely the solution will be to have normal spaces between the words, and then it's optional whether the ".com" is there or not.
I'm not interested in sick, grungey, bloody, gruesome designs. The basic premise here is fun, albeit maybe a bit dark and cynical. Humor is the overriding theme here (with maybe a slight leaning toward biology, physics and anthropology... but it should not try and look straight and scientific).
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
open (but should work well on a white or light-colored background)
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
pastels
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Primarily on web site.
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
I'm open to any individual styles, but I love logos like the TurboSquid logo.
