What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Flow Zen
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
First off, to give you an idea of the kind of music I do, here's a link to a sample of my music (the top 3 songs are the most representative of my usual work):

I'd like to have a design made that is fairly simple, easily recognizable, and easily marketable with merchandise. A good example of the style and relative simplicity I'm thinking of would be Deadmau5's "mouse head" design. Everyone who listens to electronic music knows immediately who it is when they see the design, yet it's very simple. It's also really easy to put it on merchandise and whatnot. Here are some links to a picture of deadmau5's logo:

I was thinking about creating something like a samurai (the head with the helmet or even a full or half figure), but making it for the most part one solid color (It can have more, but probably not more than a few) with some shading and lighting effects to add a touch of dimension. Or something kind of Japanese zen-like, but I'm leaning more towards the samurai idea. Whatever it is, it should be easy to recognize.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
My music is upbeat dance music so I'd like it to be a little fierce-looking, and along with that I'd like to communicate a feeling of energy. It's dance music, so I'd like it to be upbeat and kind of in your face. Secondly, I'd like to communicate kind of a mischievous feeling. I like sampling soundbites from things people know and incorporating them into my music to, in a way, add some humor and nostalgia to my music, so I'd like to reflect a "messing with you" sort of feeling. Thirdly, I'd like to communicate confidence and strength. The logo should convey a firm sturdiness and show that I'm grounded and that my music is strong.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
I'm interested in "Image" and "Image + Text" designs. A recognizable image is most important to me, but adding my artist name, Flow Zen, to a version of your design might be cool, also, and I'd like to see those, too.
