Eat Boutique is a site of food fans who seek dining experiences that bring us closer to our food and the people behind each meal. We believe that chain restaurants have gotten in the way of the discovery of independent venues and food producers, and were ready to dig into the details. We want to eat boutique by supporting indie vision and celebrating authenticity in food and service.

Our site is evolving from a blog to a business. Eat Boutique will host global food reviews of boutique dining experiences, as well as provide the opportunity for food fans to buy and send gift boxes packed with local, original food products by independent food producers and boutique restaurants.

We need a new logo for the site (EatBoutique.com) that includes a treatment of a sub-head (Celebrate authentic food, indie vision and old-fashioned hospitality). The logo should be elegant, fresh and simple.

The readers of Eat Boutique are women 25+ who also are into the following:

- Magazines like Elle Dcor, Domino, Saveur, Food & Wine, Gourmet, Dwell

- TV shows like Bravo, Top Chef, Oxygen, the Food Network, Fine Living, the Travel Channel, VH1

- Web sites like 101 Cookbooks, Bitten, Delicious Days

- Commerce sites like Ikea, Apple, Crate & Barrel, West Elm

- Celebrity chefs like Nigella Lawson, Jamie Oliver, Donna Hay, Nigel Slater

Wed prefer a black and white treatment that incorporates no more than one other color, and were big fans of chartreuse. The logo may also be used on a sticker, business card and stationary at some point, but that is not part of this project.

Sites that inspire us and share a similar aesthetic:

Please design a logo with a sub-head treatment. We prefer you use Eat Boutique (without the .com). We want the final files delivered ready for the Web. We may choose to continue working with the awarded designer for future work. As a point of information, the general layout of the current site will not change dramatically, as the site is built on WordPress. But we may opt to work with the chosen designer to massage the layout.
