This public "Diamond Discussion" forum will be administrated by one of the world's leading diamond-optics researchers (highly respected in the trade) and will feature a number of renowned experts, offering free advice for consumers considering diamond, gemstone & jewelry purchases. It will also be open to banner-advertising by companies in the business, so it should be ready to stand-up alongside well-known names/logos like Tiffany, Cartier, Blue Nile, etc. Another aspect of this site will be social-networking, where consumer-members and enthusiasts will have a Facebook-like page where they can post photos and info about their personal jewelry items, "favorite" each others' pages etc.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo that is striking (well-remembered), classy and attractive. It will be used primarily on the website which is the priority. We need something that is easily recognizable/associated with "Diamond Discussion" and will attract consumers to this forum for the purpose of getting questions answered by authorities.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Primary audience will be 20 to 30-something upper-middle & upper-class Americans who do plenty of research before they buy (often online). Primarily women but often men. These people are discriminating, quality-focused and fashionable. They spend a lot of time on computers and own iPhones, iPads and similar-PDAs. They will have a modern mindset when it comes to shopping. Our secondary audience will be gemological professionals and enthusiasts of all ages, principally from an affluent demographic who can afford expensive items bought with disposable income. They are also fashionable and quality-focused.
