LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
I am seeking a logo design to brand my own name. I am a New York-based licensed artist creating surface and product designs for my company, Wooster & Prince Papers, as well a range of private label companies. I am seeking to brand my own name "Amy Ormond" in order to expand my product line and my private label design business. I create patterns inspired by vintage textiles that are used on stationery, paper goods, porcelain, textiles, bath and body products, and home decor. My design style has been described as "refreshed vintage" and the logo design should reflect that feeling.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
A logo and type treatment for my name, Amy Ormond. The type must be usable with or without an icon or illustration. The logo will be used on all corporate materials including print and web. Logo may also be used on actual products.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Primarily women, ages 25 - 65. Higher end market, sophisticated buyers with an eye for elegant, classic design.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Logo should convey elegance, sophistication, and confidence but should be subtle. Type-treatment should be able to be re-colored for future uses. Love the type treatments for these designers: Eileen Fisher, Charlotte Moss, Vera Wang, Jo Malone, Nate Berkus and Calvin Klein.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The logo must be legible in large and small formats. The focus should be on the name (Amy Ormond) and not on an icon or illustration. Any color schemes should be versatile and subtle; ie, no loud or primary colors. In other materials, we use taupes, creams, chocolates and other earth tones to convey a feeling. Many of my designs reference Asian themes, though not exclusively. The attached artwork is one pattern that we use frequently in our materials. It is NOT a requirement that the logo include this element.
