About Your Company
We are a government agency. We promote the composting of food waste for our county. It is our responsibility to educate residents that food waste can be composted by placing it in their green curbside cart.
A special truck picks up food waste each week in our neighborhoods and brings it to a facility that will turn it into compost. Also, through this process, some electricity is produced.
Our demographic includes all residents of San Luis Obispo County, California. We are educating and motivating people to view food waste as a valuable resource that can be turned into compost and energy at local facilities. This campaign should be considered a public education program. The logo/tagline will be used in fliers, brochures, websites and possibly the exterior of large trucks in the form of a vehicle wrap.

Be Smart....Use the Green Cart
Top 3 Things
The logo (with tag line) should: 1. Relay a message that using the green cart is "Easy To Do" 2. Show that residents simply place food waste into the green cart. 3. Convey that they are helping us make compost 4. It's the Right Thing to Do
This logo could be illustrated or use a photograph. Remember that the tag line "Be Smart, Use the Green Cart" should be incorporated with the logo design. You might consider using food scraps, food pail and green cart in the design. Or, consider a simpler design with fewer elements. There are many other cities in California (Oakland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Jose) that have programs in which residents place food waste in green carts. You will get some ideas by looking at these and other food composting services. We have included images of the food pail that local residents use. You will also see our green carts that are placed curbside each week.
