we are an internet startup that is developing a web 2.0 based aggregator/marketplace in the shipping industry. think kayak concept applied to the shipping business (moving a thing from point a to point b). we are focusing on same day/overnight small packages shipping, as in putting in contact end users like you and i with service providers ranging from local couriers and messengers to midmarket couriers and major carriers such as fedex, ups... the name of the business is "deliver". current web site is not representative of what we want graphics wise, so do not draw inspiration from it.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
a logo for our company - logo will be used for our web presence (web site, widgets, mobile apps...) as well as business cards, and any other pr/marketing materials in the future. colors in the greens and oranges - not necessarily both, but one or the other - nothing flashy, natural tones. should convey energy but be ordered given that we want to convey trust/delivery/consistency as our branded image, as in "we deliver". we had been thinking of boxes in the logo given that shipping is done with boxes as the container, but are opened to other ideas, abstract or not. logo should include the word deliver either below or above a graphics part, so that if we change the url at a later stage, we can still use the logo and only change the text.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
twofold, a) end users that use couriers/carriers for their shipping needs whether they are private individuals or professional shippers, b) service providers, the carrier and courier companies that provide the service.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
simple, clean, matte rather than shiny, classic feel while at the same time providing energy and a pop out feel. sharp and uncomplicated...
