About Your Company
There are two sides of the organization.
The first side focuses on vein issues, especially those that occur in the legs, like spider veins and varicose veins. Target audience includes both males and females, ages 25-80. This side is more cosmetic-focused.
The second side focuses on arteries, including the blockage of arteries, amputation prevention, and aneurysms. Target audience includes both males and females, but a little older – ages 55-95+. This side is more about serious medical problems.
General surgery is listed in the company name and needs to remain there, but should not otherwise be visually represented in their logo (they’re not currently performing any general surgeries).

The company likes that their current logo represents the two sides of their business, with the aqua color representing the veins and red representing the arteries. They don't like the person's pose, and they worry that the heart suggests that they address cardiac issues (which they do not). They want to explore the two colors / vein idea a bit more – perhaps in a more abstract way, or in an interesting shape. The company is also open to other, completely new ideas; but it should still represent its focus on veins and artery issues.
Font style is open - they're interested in something a little unusual, but it needs to be legible at all sizes.
The company name is very long. We'd like to see some ideas that focus on the words "Vascular" or "Vascular Surgery" in the name. We'd also like to see some ideas that put an equal emphasis on all words. We'd also be open to a logo that uses "SCGVS" at top and large, with the full name written underneath. The words "general and" represent their business the least, so they could have the lowest priority.
The logo should definitely include either #3ca9b6 or #eaf7f8. Other colors that you may include: a shade of red and/or black/gray.
Things to avoid: medical staff icon, triangles, images that may gross people out, a representation of the human heart.
The winning logo design's final files will need to be in several versions (color on light background, color on dark background, white, and black) and several file types (ai, eps, pdf, and png). Depending on the logo design, we may also request both a horizontal layout and a stacked vertical layout.
