101 Smokehouse on Wheels (Food Truck), 101 Smokehouse on Main (Restaurant). Our business will be starting off as a food truck but we have also purchased a building to open a restaurant within the next year. We are thinking a concept that emphasizes 101 Smokehouse (larger bold print perhaps) and then just On Wheels in a smaller print because we will be starting off as a food truck. We would use same exact logo for the building just replace on Wheels with on Main.
Top 3 Things
Distinctive, Professional, Appropriate
We want a logo that is universal to both our food truck and our eventual restaurant, only difference between the two would be wording of on Wheels (food truck) and on Main (restaurant). I have included a file of a picture of our building and thought a rough sketch of the building into the logo could be a decent concept to include into the logo so that the truck was associated with the restaurant and our brand is all tied into one. I don't feel we want to use the exact image of the building. Another concept we have considered is including the railroad or train concept into the logo because our building literally sits 15 feet from a railroad track. I have also included a few sketches we have done and another concept along those lines. We are looking for a logo that is distinct, unique and appropriate to what we do which is BBQ and food. Our restaurant will serve craft beer, wine and spirits but our food truck will not, so that might not be of any use. We are looking for something clean and sharp, nothing of the cartoon nature. We don't feel like our establishment is going to be upscale but it also isn't going to be a dive joint either. I have attached an image of our building, two images of the outside of our food truck and 8 logo ideas/concepts that we like. We are definitely not opposed to something new and creative that doesn't have anything to do with these images, they are mainly ideas/concepts that we like. Our goal is to be distinct, professional, unique, creative, appropriate and clean with our logo. The color concept I want to follow is red/yellow. These colors have correlation with food. We are not looking to be McDonalds or use their exact color scheme, we are fine with using reds/yellows as long as it doesn't look exactly like McDonalds. It also doesn't have to include red and yellow, it could include just 1 of those color schemes and can be any shade of either or both.
