About Your Company
Lyralux is an early-stage technology company formed to commercialize LED light source technologies that are based on "spectral songwriting". Similar to how wavelengths of sound and their combinations can range from acoustically pleasant to discordant, wavelengths of light and their combinations can range from visually pleasant to discordant. For example, when current lighting products are dimmed, object colors become progressively duller and muted; at very low light levels all object color shift toward grayscale. We developed a light source technology (a particular method of "spectral tuning") that enhances colors at all light levels, from very bright to very dim.
We will go to market through professional sales channels as product that are specified for commercial interiors by lighting designers, architects, engineers, and interior designers.
A note about the company name. Lyralux is a compound of "lyra" and "lux". In some (ancient) languages, "lyra" can mean sound, or inspiration, or poetic genius and "lux" can mean light (and in modern usage can be an abreviation for luxury or luxurious). So, the word "Lyralux" is intended to evoke an image of inspired, poetic, light--light that makes objects appear colorful and beautiful, a high-quality luxurious light. We want the logo to evoke that same sort of impression.

Lyralux products are based on precisely tuned light and it would be great if Lyralux's logo encapsulated the idea of tuning light. By way of analogy, the Yamaha logo with the three tuning forks sends a message about tuning sound (even though most people may not see that in the Yamaha logo). Note that I am in no way suggesting that the Lyralux logo should look or feel anything like the Yamaha logo! I am merely pointing out the elegance of the Yamaha logo for their business, and aspring for something with comparable meaning for ours.
