LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
The content company is a company that delivers (creates/manages/publishes) content for the internet mostly (newsletters/websites). But sometimes also for print. That is content in a wider perspective: textual and visual. Consider us an advertising/design agency whoms starting point is content: the message, the contents, the story. We design and develop after creating the content concept.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
New logo that is crisp and clear. The present logo is a (too) plain simple red (#cc0000) thought balloon with our company name (the content company) in it. We now need a crispier logo with the icon/logo apart from our company name.
Our former (present) logo (the red thought balloon) has the company name in it. We like to believe that we evolved from thinkers into (off course meaningfull) speakers and would therefor like (an abstract shape of) a speech balloon. The company name will be separate from (so not directly in, or overlapping) the icon/logo. We like to be able to use the icon on itself. The speech balloon can be in an abstract/crisp combination with the letter C. The C for Content (and company, and copy etc etc). This is what we have in mind, and we are curious how that could be visualized, but we'd also love to be surprised with other/better ideas.
This logo will be the starting point for a complete redesign for the website, stationary etc etc.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
The target audience is the (potential) client. Our customers are companies. We communicate b2b, like most of our customers. Amongst our clients are publishers, a telecom corporation, business training corporations, green business company etc.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like web 2.0 logos BUT not too web 2.0. That is: no mirror-effects, no drop shadows. Some keywords: clean, fresh, crisp, sharp. Some logos we like are:
In general we believe that less is more.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
As mentioned the icon seperated from the company name, so that the logo/icon can be used in itself.
The color red #cc0000 is the only color used in our present logo, in combination with black and grey in other stylings (website/stationary). In our new logo we would also like to see the color #cc0000 red. We can loose the black, and grey is not a must in the logo (but probably in our other stylings like the stationary).
We are unsure about introducing another color to the logo. If you feel adding another color would add value, please do.
