Impressions Photo & Video
What is your industry?
I'm an event photographer, specializing in weddings, mitzvahs and sweet sixteens
Describe the target audience for your logo
More of a female target audience - ages 25 to 40. (Brides and mothers choose photography.) We are located in fast paced NJ, so our female audience has more of an edge.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Fresh, Upscale, Warm
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
We want to leave this open so as not to sway you. We feel the real challenge here will be designing something Creative, but not too feminine - Edgy, but not too masculine.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Not sure of colors, but the design may be used against dark or light backgrounds. Especially when set over our photographs.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
used on: Business cards, sometimes overlayed on our photographs, Website
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
To sum things up:
We're starting our own company and looking for a logo that will be used on our website and on some business cards. The logo could be as simple as our name in a contemporary font, with some clever design about how the words are laid out or spaced or it could be a more sophisticated 3d logo or anything inbetween.
The website's background is likely to be black or very dark gray - so the image should work well on these colors. However we would want to see a version on white too - in case we print on white business cards.
We like subtle, sophisticated design work - nothing cheesy, nothing illustrated/cartoony and nothing that uses a camera body image (unless it is highly stylized) but there might be aspects of photography that you do want to use - aperture, depth of field etc. Alternatively a clever combination of letters, colors, and design could be very powerful.
We are trying to find a balance between something modern and edgy without getting too hard or cold.
We are not looking for something really busy and complicated. Less is more, Good design is everything.
We are open to the color palette used. Something that will look well on the dark background of the website, but will also adapt to a white background if necessary for a business card or over a photograph.
*Below we've posted the font we were considering. We would like to see it used in a logo, but we arent married to it either and could just as easily go with something new.
We're super excited to see all your ideas1 Thank you in advance for your time and efforts.
