I can't say there is anything specific. But this information is important to know:
The Creative Educators Forum launchd in 2010 in conjunction with PromaxBDA: The Conference. The purpose of the event is to build stronger connections between the academic community and the PromaxBDA member base in a collaborative learning environment dedicated to improving the teaching practices and industry knowledge of educators. True to its name, the CEF is an opportunity for educators to connect directly with industry executives and thought leaders about how to better prepare their students for the changing media and entertainment marketing workforce.
Each year we bring together 50-60 educators to discuss classroom design, curriculum developments, program innovation and industry demands. This year for the first time, we will bring executives and educators together in a roundtable discussion. The long term goal is to grow CEF into an exclusive opportunity for select educators. Because we have begun to provide smaller, localized events at academic institutions, the CEF brand will have extensions as we grow our educator base. The CEF is couched within the larger mission to build and grow a sustainable pipeline of diverse talent into the entertainment marketing industry. It all starts with the educators who reach the students we want to draw into our industry.
