Creative Brief

Who are you?

We're a multimedia company based in the Middle East, and our mission is to design, create and deliver compelling media content that entertains and educates. We specialize in programming on education, the environment, and cultural heritage, and we produce high quality, original media content in Arabic and English, for distribution through a variety of entertainment platforms.

What do you need?

1. Beshasha Logo

What we need:

We are creating culturally-appropriate education content for children in the Middle East, and we need a logo to accompany our newly-developed character, Beshasha the racing camel. Beshasha was recently designed for us on Crowdspring, and now we are looking for a logo that we can use to brand and market Beshasha. Beshasha is a sleek and graceful reddish/brown camel, with long eyelashes and engaging eyes, a motherly soul and very caring.

We Absolutely Must Have:

A logo that goes well with our newly-designed character, Beshasha. The logo should be bright, vivid and simple. We want our logo to be recognizable from afar and when it is printed by itself or in mixed media. We would like our logo to have a long life expectancy, so wed like it to be innovative and timeless. We want Beshashas logo to stand alone or look good when it is in the same space with her actual character. We do not want our logo to borrow images from other famous logos we would like it to be completely unique and represent Beshasha the racing camel wherever it appears in mixed media.

The logo should look good up close and from afar. It should work in different size formats, such as t-shirt design, brochures, DVD covers, and other marketing materials. It should also work well with just one color, or with multiple colors or in black and white, and it should look good on dark backgrounds, light backgrounds, etc. We are looking for ease of printing, replication and reproduction. Also, it is important that the typeface that goes along with the logo matches Beshashas personality.

2. Baby Genius Logo

What we need:

We are creating culturally-appropriate education content for children in the Middle East, and we need a logo to market and brand our Baby Genius learning DVD series for toddlers. The Baby Genius logo should depict a small child who is cute, curious, smart and fun. The logo should be able to be used with larger images of Baby Genius, so please take scale and size into consideration.

We Absolutely Must Have:

A logo that SABM can use for the introduction and marketing of our new Baby Genius DVD learning series. The logo should be bright, vivid and simple, and it should be appealing to children. We want our logo to be recognizable from afar and when it is printed by itself or in mixed media. We would like our logo to have a long life expectancy, so wed like it to be innovative and timeless.

We want the Baby Genius logo to stand-alone or look good when it is in the same space as our other new media products and characters. (examples attached) We do not want our logo to borrow images from other famous logos we would like it to be completely unique.

3. SABM Kids Logo

What we need:

We are creating culturally-appropriate education content for children in the Middle East, and we need a logo to launch our companys new division, SABM Kids. SABM Kids will showcase three recently-developed characters: Beshasha the Racing Camel, Fallah the Falcon and Antarr the Arabian Horse. The SABM Kids logo should play off of our current SABM logo (attached for reference) but should appeal to kids and be easily identifiable.

We Like These Examples:

We like the Fox Kids logo, specifically because it retained the properties of the original Fox logo but made it more distinct and kid-friendly. We also like the BBC Kids logo and the one that they use for their childrens programming, CBeebies. While we like the Disney and Nickelodeon logos, they do not tie into a larger parent company logo.

We Absolutely Must Have:

A logo that SABM can use for the introduction and marketing of all of the companys childrens content and media ventures. The logo should be bright, vivid and simple, and it should complement our current SABM logo. We want our logo to be recognizable from afar and when it is printed by itself or in mixed media. We would like our logo to have a long life expectancy, so wed like it to be innovative and timeless. We want the SABM Kids logo to stand-alone or look good when it is in the same space as our traditional SABM logo.
