About Your Company
The logo is for the website of a collection of socio-political posters, press, pamphlets, postcards, LPs, books, stickers dating from 1960-90. The materials in the collection are from all over the world and include around 25 different languages, although the most common are English, Spanish, Italian, French and Arabic. The predominant themes of the posters etc are solidarity, human rights, identity, struggles for autonomy and social justice.
The website aims to share them with the public through an online collection catalogue, virtual exhibitions and blog posts, as well as providing a space for people to share their own stories. The target audience is everbody to an extent, but most visitors will likely be interested in graphic art, design, protest, social history and politics, likely aged in their 20s and upwards, probably with left-wing or radical/ anarchical political beliefs.
Note: this is not an 'art collection', in the sense of unique artworks, worth a lot of money, by artists you would find at auction. These graphic works may often be artistic and beautiful, but their purpose is not to be a piece of fine art.

I am NOT looking for something stereotypical that could be any random leftist badge- i'd love something very original, or iconic/ recognisable but with a twist!
Also, it is easy to immediately think of the colour RED when thinking of revolution and left-wing radicalism. This colour is everywhere on logos for anything in these areas, so to avoid the cliche, I would prefer not to concentrate on red as a main colour. If you can use it well, or as an option, then I am certainly not excluding it, but please try other palettes. I think pink, for example, could work well, particularly with 'ROSA' (Spanish/ Italian for pink) in the collection title, but again, this is just one of my initial ideas.
Please do not shorten the name to just the initials RRR without including the whole words.
IF you need/ want to include a subtitle, it is 'Socio-Political Graphics' or 'Socio-Political Graphics Collection', but this is not essential (only if you feel it adds to the design, or balances it in some way- but not just for the sake of it).
I have included a list of typical iconography that appears time and again on socio-political visuals and print production of the Left in the attached document. Certainly use visual tropes and icons from this list, but anything you do, please try to make it original or a twist on something that might be well-known already. Please be careful not to use something that has been done a hundred times before, for example simply a rose as a fist! If you decide on something like that, no problem, as long as you make it somehow original!
Ask if in doubt, no question is a bad one!
I prefer containing the whole logo in just an image without writing underneath it, but I have included this logo type as a possibility for in case you have a clever way of using it, or if you want to include the writing below the image as an optional text placing/ extra.
