LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
commonpence.org will be a framework to allow for voluntary donations, tipping, and micropayments to individuals who contribute code, information, or other intellectual property items of substance.
Commonpence will be a non-traditional organization constructed based on Creative Commons and Open Source licenses rather than corporate structures.
Commonpence is a trademark of SiteRiver, LLC - but the name, the site, and the logo will be fully released under Creative Commons. Phillip Barnhart, Managing Partner for SiteRiver, is a paid member of Creative Commons.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
A logo for Commonpence.org, where the "C" becomes a stylized "cent" sign, and inside the "C" incorporates the symbols for dollar, euro, pound, renminbi, and rupee.
The "C" should both stand alone and work as the first letter of commonpence.orf
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
This will be both a logo used by for-profit organizations indicating they support the commonpence concept of micropayments to technical community members in recognition of their contributions.
Commonpence will also need to influence taxing entities to stabalize and standardize licensing and donation relationships.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Simple (siteriver.com, budurl.com) - text-oriented.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Incorporate mutliple currency symbols - and a stylized "C" (like cent) to use as icon and logo.
