Tell us what you need
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
We would like people to see the Chaddock Labs logo and think about things such as Precision, Ideation, and Futuristic.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
The logo style should be image+text. We need a logo designed for the organization that will place the name Chaddock Labs as a dominant piece of the logo. We also prefer a graphical element to play a role in the Chaddock Labs logo that can be separated from the wordmark Chaddock Labs and used independently for some marketing purposes. For example, we might want to use the graphical element as a watermark for some print materials or in other creative ways. We need this image to be a vector based image so that we can use it for making a web graphic but also use the same logo on larger banners and other large format print materials.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
Chaddock Labs is a scientific ideation and software design company.
We need a new logo design for an organization called "Chaddock Labs" that has a web 2.0 feel about it and two color.
The organization currently does not have a website but we are in the development process. The logo will play a major role for influencing the look and feel of the website.
This logo will be used on print and web materials.
Here are some examples of websites that perform similar work to Chaddock Labs. These help inform some general context about the industry.
Here are some sites that have a cool look and feel and the logos are representative of the kinds of styles that Chaddock Labs would like to see in a logo
http://www.madebysofa.com/ (the three-dimensional logo images on the homepage of this site could serve as an inspiration for the Chaddock Labs logo)
We are interested in seeing some options that might lean toward the "web 2.0" styles while still maintaining professional distinction.
This is a link that shows lots of web 2.0 styles and we want our logo to demonstrate contemporary, progressive style while still displaying the dignity of traditional logos. This might be a challenging combination to ask for in a logo. We don't want to the logo to look too stuffy like some really traditional corporate logos but we also don't want it to look too cartoon like that leads people to not take the organization seriously.
In the logo we should focus on the Labs part of Chaddock Labs in the design. We want the audience to be thinking science or hi-tech but it should be abstract enough so people dont immediately think of a specific science like chemicals or engineering or computers. It could have a molecular or mechanical looking aspect to it.
Because the focus is on science, emphasizing the word Labs in Chaddock Labs could be helpful. We want the audience to be thinking scientific and problem solving when they think of Chaddock Labs
The company is very data focused and idea focused helping clients solve problems. The company is also involved with informatics.
We like the colors of the orange (Pantone 1495) and green (7738) that appear in the logo. Softer blue colors such as Pantone 7688. We would like to keep the colors to a simple color design to maximize cost efficiency when it comes to printing single or two color printing.
The Full name Chaddock Labs needs to be in the logo design but we would prefer to have the iconic graphical image to be able to stand alone separate from the word phrasing.
All fonts used in the logo need to be included with the logo. We prefer not purchasing a custom font for use with the logo. We suggest using a free font for commercial use such as those found at http://www.fontsquirrel.com to be used in the logo.
There is a preference for san serif fonts but some contemporary, modern serif fonts such as Museo Slab, http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Museo-..., could be a fitting font style.
