LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a graphic/web design company called Design Guy. We already have some potential logos, but we are specifically looking for a character named "Design Guy" to be the face of our brand. We have a very non-corporate feel, and we want our character to fit with and show that.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a cartoon type character designed who will be the face of our brand. His name is "Design Guy", and he's a hip, cool, fun designer. We want his look to embody the ultimate designer. We want him to have awesome style, and be fun and easy to recognize. We're open to having him be any race or color. Think Esurance girl - she's cool, sexy, awesome, and she has pink hair. She is soaked in originality. We want our character to be original, and again hip, fun, and cool. We obviously don't want him to be trying too hard to be cool either. For apparel we like plaid shirts, cardigans, sweaters, dress shirt under cardigan or sweater, converse, hip clothes, etc. Basically if you needed a logo made, and you hired a cartoon guy to do the designs for you, we would want Design Guy to be that guy.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our audience is creative types, graphic designers, artists, web designers. We want them to be able to relate to Design Guy, but as well think he is fun and cool. Again, a young, non-corporate audience.

WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:

Attached is a word doc that has a bunch of pictures of people who's style we like. We like the band vampire weekend's style a lot, cardigans, sweaters, blazers, etc. We like how some of these images are of hip fashionable people as well. no cigarettes for the design guy character (there might be a few in those pictures). Attached is also a document with our logos in it. If you want to play around with colors matching our logo, our favorite logos are the 3rd one down in the first column with the 3 different colors in the "GUY" , the 1st one in the first column (top left) and the 3rd one down in the second column with the stylus as the 'i".

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:

If possible, we would love to see the "design guy" character incorporated into some of the logos we have uploaded. If you think he fits nicely standing next to a logo, or it looks cool with him leaning on or holding up a part of one of the logos, we'd love to see that. Again we do need to have the character by himself as well, but the more options the better. The character will be going at the top part of a website, so he shouldn't be huge but he shouldn't be small either. Also different color options with the character clothes and style would be great.
