Tell us what you need
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
I don't want a name in the logo, I want to design a character (cartoon like) of the blogger to use as a logo
What is your industry?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
- To give the blog a personality without divulging the bloggers identity, I want to create a character that represents her, the blogger.
-The character should appear stylish, someone who understands quality without being simply a snob.
-The character should appear likable and trustworthy... someone people can imagine being friends with.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
I have attached several sample images that I like the style of.
The character has to have a couple specifications: brown hair, mid thirties (so should not appear too young), a laptop should be included in the design to convey that she is a blogger, the background should be her home so a sofa or armchair work well. I would like a small black dog (like a cocker spaniel) to be included as well.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
A lot of the designs that I have attached often show the character to be surrounded by shopping bags. This is something we want to avoid. Another problem with the designs attached is that they are a little too girly, too young and immature feeling.
The blog is about helping your professional make their home a more important part of their lives by finding stylish and unique home furnishing at good prices. It is about life in the city and trying to make it feel more like home. It is about lifestyle inspirations, not about shopping.
We also absolutely want to avoid going down the Martha Stewart route which is too provincial and about being a housewife . Our audience is made up of young professional between the ages of 28 and 45, they are primarily female, they are both single and attached, and are affluent.
