LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We focus on helping small to medium businesses in the Austin area put technology to work for their business. We strive to be the one stop shop for our customers' IT needs.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a crisp, clean, and simple logo with minimal colors centered around an easily identified image. We're looking for a logo that is a play on words with the Big Bit name. The idea is to take a drill bit and create a unique graphic or some how work it into an IT theme (something trying to work in 0s and 1s might suffice but we're worried that that might be too cliche).

Here are a couple ideas we had:

1) A logo based around a bold-lined drill bit, (look up the birds barbershop logo as an example of something simple and bold ( http://birdsbarbershop.com/ ).

2) Something incorporating a drill bit theme, but then works in a play on words that visually relate to technology.

3) A logo with a unique character themed from the 40s - 50s era (think Vault Boy from Fallout 3, Buddy Lee from Lee jeans etc). Ideally this would still incorporate the drill bit/drill/technology theme (perhaps he is holding a drill, you get the idea).

The bottom line, less is more!

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Small to medium businesses in need of dedicated IT services in the Austin area and the occasional home user.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Birds Barbershop Logo: http://birdsbarbershop.com/

Vault Boy from Fallout 3: http://news.filefront.com/wp-content/upl...

Twitter (the little bird)

The new BP logo: http://www.bp.com

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We don't want a stiff, lifeless, corporate logo so commonly used by companies in the tech industry.
