LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Hello Creatives! I am a professional volleyball player, who months before won the gold medal for mens volleyball in Beijing. What an amazing feeling. Now I am hoping you all can reach deep and design a gold medal worthy logo that represents me: Gabe Gardner, "GG", Golden Gooseman LLC (goose being my team nickname). I am currently still playing volleyball, but this summer I am transitioning into a sports related business (under the name Golden Gooseman LLC). The business will organize sports clinics, consulting, coaching, and charity events. I want people to look at this logo and realize there is a professional businessman, a successful athlete, and one with a historic gold medal hanging up at home.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A clean, neat and professional looking logo that incorporates my initials "GG". The GG logo you create will be the brand image that transitions into clear writing of both Gabe Gardner, as well as Golden Gooseman LLC. Your logo will appear both on the website gabegardner.com, as well as stationary, business cards, clothing. So its important to create a logo that can easily transcend all mediums (although website is the first and most important).

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

This business will serve all ages, from teens to parents of teens (parents make most coaching/clinic decisions). Volleyball as a sports transcends all age and sex barriers, and so does sports in general. Most importantly, our audience is anyone with a passion for sports, for the Olympic games, for success in athletics no matter what level.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

reidpriddy.com, my friend and team mate has a logo created using his initials along with the number 8. 8 happens to be my favorite number as well, so if there is a way to use gg with 8 in this sense that would be interesting. Some fonts I like that have cool "g's" are Vivaldi, Gigi, EucrosiaUPC (in the classic sense like the Gucci italian luxury brand), Viner Hand ITC, Harrington, Harlow Solid Italic, Mistral. Feel free to diverge. Also something to consider is research into the design of the Beijing Gold Medals, or Olympic Gold medals. For example, an angel is on the back of the medal...

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

the "gg" logo followed by BOTH Gabe Gardner, and then again separately followed by Golden Gooseman LLC. Please do not use any balls, sports items, or other silly things in the logo. Remember we want a professional transition of Olympic Gold Medalist to "sports consultant". Please no dark colors. I want bright and clean logos that pop. I am partial to using a combination of USA (red, wt, blu) colors, but would really prefer to choose a design incorporating a toned down gold color on a white background. Another color I really enjoy is dark greens on white backgrounds. No blue , orange, red, or dark dominant color pallets will be considered.
