Bean Hour is a new start-up specialising in Kopi Luwak (dubbed the most expensive coffee in the world). Due to the nature of our product, we would like to provide the premium experience and the first impression often begins with the logo.
The name Bean Hour is a play between two words: bean (our core products) and hour (the fact that we spend most of our times in this business to source and preparing the perfect bean).
Our target audience is HNWs (high net-worth individuals), coffee connoisseurs, premium restaurants, cafes, and hotels. They are price insensitive and place high importance on quality and service.
We seek to have the logo that is artistic, clean, simple but sophisticated representing our luxury product and premium service. The logo will be used for all parts of our branding (website and icon, business cards, product packaging, advertising materials, etc.), so they need to be easily transferable. Especially for packaging, as we are currently exploring many ideas, the logo should be consistent whether it is placed on a flat or curvy surface.
We are also currently toying with the hourglass concept where it might be a good representation of our product i.e. we might have beans on one part and powder coffee on the other part of the glass. However, please do not let this restrict your creativity and imagination. In fact, we would like to see other inspirations as this is not set in stone.
Our preferred colour would be dark brown (matte) and/or a combination thereof (maybe with simple shades/variants from the primary colour). However, again, we are open to other ideas.
Established companies offering similar products typically use Luwak (Civet), the animal, in their logos. We are indifferent to whether to use it or not. We might expand our product lines to other types of coffee, therefore not particularly attached to a specific branding.
