LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Mobile devices are uniquely positioned to allow individualized, real-time and actionable marketing communications from businesses directly to consumers. Mobile marketing is poised to fundamentally alter the marketing landscape. Pricewaterhouse predicts that global mobile advertising spending will rise from $3.8 billion in 2008 to $9.2 billion in 2013, with a third of that spending in the United States.

While mobile devices present a fantastic marketing opportunity, they also present enormous challenges. A plethora of mobile platforms and hundreds of different mobile devices make delivering mobile content challenging to execute.

The Atlanta Mobile Marketing Organization (AMMO) is a group devoted to exploring the emerging technologies and services that will be required of organizations looking to capitalize on this unique marketing tool. We will seek to educate marketers, technologists and business owners on best practices as they relate to mobile marketing initiatives. Our goal is to create a community based on sharing knowledge and experiences from multiple disciplines.

Whether you are an established interactive agency planning to expand your mobile marketing offerings, a mobile applications developer looking to better understand customer needs or a business owner just trying to understand what this growing channel has to offer, there is a place for you here.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking for a kick ass logo that looks very professional while conveying the freedom associated with mobile. Our group is marketing focused and should therefore look fresh. But we will also have mobile apps developers and enterprise business owners. Every mobile logo out there incorporates an iPhone. That is too obvious and also won't stand the test of time. The name abbreviates to AMMO for a reason (i.e. giving marketers the AMMO they need to better target their efforts). It might be nice to have the logo incorporate that without being too obvious or cheesy.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Marketing professionals, mobile application developers, enterprise business managers, small/mid sized businesses looking to understand how mobile will impact their biz. This will be the leading professional organization for mobile marketing in the area. The logo should convey "cutting edge" but retain professionalism.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Totally open to creativity as long as the design pops.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

I'm thinking no phones unless you can do something really cool with it that isn't obvious. Mobile Marketing is evolving to include things other than mobile phones and we want a design that will stand the test of time or for at least the next 3-5 years. We will likely have additional design work for the winning bidder.
