What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
ASUR (which is a abbreviation for the phrase "As You Are"). The base ASUR logo solution needs to be shown how it works with a couple of applications: 1. ASUR logo stand alone 2. with modifier: "Come But Don't Stay" 3. with the modifier: "Equipping Leaders" and "Planting Churches" 4. bonus: with both "Come But Don't Stay" and "Equipping Leaders & Planting Churches" (seem like too much to be aesthetically pleasingbut perhaps you can come up with a solution).
What is your industry?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Some background first.
This organization is a Christian church who focus is on reaching and serving the un-churched. They have a popular tagline to sum up their philosophy which is "Come as you areBut don't stay as you are". Their other tagline is "No Perfect People Allowed". (for more info on the church check out www.gatewaychurch.com)
This approach has resonated with our unchurched culture and the church has experienced significant growth over the last 15 years. They have also helped "plant" additional churches based on this same "As You Are" philosophy. In fact, they have set up a separate organization to focus on training "As You Are" leaders and support planting additional "As Your Are" churches.
The bigger idea (and brand) is to be a catalyst of an "As You Are" movement among Christian churches that grow by reaching and being relevant to the broader culture (as opposed to growing by switching members between churches).
The ASUR logo will be used with multiple audiences (by churches to reach the public AND by the church leadership organization to reach other church leaders)
Creatively we have done some of the work already.
We want to use the abbreviation of ASUR to represent the "As You Are" concept.
As detailed on the included creative concept concepts sheet, there are some examples of how we intend to use the logo. Please view this as a starting point.
The cross question. While this is a Christian church/organization they have traditionally not included a cross in their logo. That said, we would be open to a solution that found a clever way to work in a cross reference in a subordinated/secondary/subliminal way. The "hidden arrow" in the FEDEX logo is a good example of this type of elegant solution (which is also included on the included concept work sheet).
Thanks in advance for your work on this. I've had great success in the past working with the talented creatives of the Crowd Spring community and look forward to another great experience.
