LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
IRCT (International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims)
Torture is a destructive weapon used by authorities around the world - and it's closer to you and me, than most people think.
Every day thousands of people are being tortured around the world.
They cant speak up and get their voice heard. But we can!
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We want to make a global community of people who support our fight against torture and the important work of bringing hope to the survivors of torture. The community is called:
World Without Torture
We need a logo for this community!
The logo must be suitable for social media campaign usage.
The logo will represent the World Without Torture community on Facebook and other online platforms (Twitter, YouTube etc.)
It must be simple, understandable and memorable - even in thumbnails of profile pictures.
The logo should convey CRUELTY, but with a clear message of HOPE (- represent af belief that the world can be a better place (i.e. Amnesty Internationals logo mixing barbwire=cruelty with a burning candle=hope)
Keywords are genuine, contemporary, simple and recognisable
The WWT logo should be DIFFERENT form IRCTs logo, but we are open to see elements from IRCTs logo creatively incorporated in the new World Without Torture logo
(For more information, inspiration and to see the IRCT logo, you can visit http.//www.irct.org)
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Social media users
Students and younger well-educated people
Politically and socially interested & left wing (or middle) voters
Fair trade and ecology consumers
Focus on self-realisation
Advertisement savvy - Want communication to contain reflection and contemplation
Want to make the world a better place
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
We like Amnesty International Logo - because it is clear, understandable and covers both "the light"=hope and "the cruelty"=The barb wire
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
The words World Without Torture must be incorporated in the logo (since the community is not yet famous like i.e. Amnesty)
The logo cover both of these 2 elements:
- The prevention of torture
- Rehabilitation of torture survivors
The logo must be simple, understandable and memorable - even in thumbnails of profile pictures.
