What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
We are a soccer podcast that blends analytics with wit and humor (because how else can you watch soccer?). On our show, we discuss the English Premier League, the German Bundesliga, and Major League Soccer. Because of this, we want a logo that showcases our fandom in these leagues, but a logo that is also easy to identify and recognize over various mediums like our website, iTunes/Google Play, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
Our current logo is a crest, similar to what you would find for the logos of soccer teams, and we would like something that is either a crest or a circle, like what you'd find for the Columbus Crew (http://bit.ly/1XuCaKO) or Bayern Munich (http://bit.ly/1TUJLwU). Completely unrelated to the leagues we discuss, we're both fans of the Pohang Steelers' logo (http://bit.ly/1WQKRRa) and like the concept behind that.
We currently use black and red (#e3001b) and generally like those colors, since the teams we support wear red, but we are open to other colors that stand out and differentiate themselves from the crowd of soccer "bloggers". We also use Gill Sans in a lot of our projects, so ideally something that cooperates with that font.
Also, and this is a quirky request, but a running joke in our show involves Werder Bremen goalkeeper Raphael Wolf. So as random as it sounds, we'd be delighted if there's a way to incorporate a wolf. It doesn't have to be a complex wolf in fact, something as simple and straightforward as the FiveThirtyEight fox concept (ie http://www.emblemetric.com/wp-content/up... be great. Thank you!
