What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Lord Nevermore - Dark Music For Bright People
What is your industry?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Goth (but nothing clich)
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
I don't have examples of what I'd like. It's not really a logo for a business, it's a logo for an artist (a goth and industrial music DJ). Here's the current "Logo" as inspiration :
As you can see, it fit's the 3 things I would like to communicate (Elegance, Dandysm, Aristocratic, Goth). Problem is, it's a little bit hard to read. But it's a good start for you to work on.
As far as the format, the most important thing is obviously the text, but if you can add an image (pictogramm), maybe with the initials "LN" that convey the same ideas, it would be great too.
Here's another example of a logo with a small pictogramm (for me it's not perfect but it's an example : for your inspiration, but don't copy, it's not that good) :
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
Please consider that that logo will be for a goth and industrial music DJ, someone that convey a very dandy, elegant and aristocratic image (think of a 19th century aristocrat). So avoid generic "business" logos.
Also, please avoid at all costs all the clich imagery linked to the goth subculture (bats, skulls, vampire fangs, etc).
Last but not least, please try to add the slogan in the logo : "Dark Music For Bright People".
The logo MUST be in black and white only. !
