What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Amy Long Photography
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo
There are two main branches of the business: Lifestyle and Commercial. Lifestyle photography is focused more on women, early 30s-50s, average to above average incomes, with kids. Commercial Photography is focused more on businesses and companies in several different industries, mostly educated VPs, Marketing Directors and Managers. The business is located in Jonesboro, AR, a city of about 70,000 people.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
1. Innovation This business is on the cutting edge of photography, always studying, going to workshops and finding out the new and best ways to learn more about photography and the industry. It's an ever changing industry, which makes this business an ever changing company.
2. Lighting Most photographers in the area do not understand lighting. One of Amy Long Photography's biggest strengths is the ability to transform an ordinary picture to a work of art through lighting. New techniques, new innovations and an overall understanding of the industry provides this business with the knowledge it needs to be successful when it comes to photography lighting.
3. Commercial Lifestyle is the bread and butter, but more interest lies in commercial photography. There is not a commercial photographer in the area and Amy Long Photography needs to be the first. Customers need to know the extent of the work that can be provided and businesses need to know that this is a professional, affordable, talented company that can improve marketing and advertising efforts for years to come.
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
It must have some kind of icon, but not a typical camera. It needs to be different than that. Font needs to be thin, and preferable AMY LONG needs to be a little scriptier than PHOTOGRAPHY. The idea of using the initials "AL" as the icon, though not a must. Some examples are attached.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
No preference here. Colors liked are greens, purples, but that is not a must. Logo will mainly appear on white, and as a watermark on photos.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Print advertising, business cards, signs, watermark on photos, brochure, sales sheets, sponsorships, website.
