Business Info
Business Name
Agile Cloud
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Agile Cloud
Target Audience
What is your industry?
Technology (Software Development)
Describe the target audience for your logo
Agile Cloud is practical guide to designing and delivering software applications on emerging cloud computing platforms. It is targeted at software industry professionals responsible for making strategic decisions about how their organizations manage projects and what technologies they use.
Specific examples include senior managers at consulting firms, CIOs/CTOs, software architects and project managers.
These people are generally very well educated, over 30 years old, upper quartile income level, and located anywhere, but tending toward urban areas. Not limited to the U.S. Probably more males than females, but the logo should appeal to both.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
1. Agile Cloud is a practical "how to" guide
2. Agile Cloud is an open industry standard (community created/owned rather than proprietary)
3. Strong association with cloud computing and the agile development methodology (hence the name!)
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Text ("Agile Cloud") and image. We do not have any specific example we want to emulate. However, we would like to point out examples of the "space" we operate in, and want to be perceived as a key part of.
First: the major cloud computing platforms -- Microsoft Windows Azure, Amazon Web Services & Google App Engine. Since our product relates to these platforms, we want to be perceived as related to them without copying them:

http://aws.amazon.com/
http://code.google.com/appengine/
We also want to convey the concepts of agile software development: iteration, collaboration and delivering often. Read more at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agile_softw...
Finally, Agile Cloud is sponsored and created by two companies -- Terrace Software and 10th Magnitude. So a loose/subtle association with them would be useful:

What colors do you want to see in your logo?
No existing palette, so we're looking for your ideas on what colors to use given the style ideas above.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Pink
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Primarily on a web site, and within downloadable whitepapers and presentations
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
See attached wireframes of the web site the logo will be used on. These are very rough/early stage, but should give a sense of context.
Please completely disregard the placeholder logo in the wireframes. It is not intended as an example of what we want.
