Tell us what you need
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
After Nine. But can be afternine (ie no space) or all caps, etc. Please also consider using after the words.
What is your industry?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
After Nine is a new store and online shop selling luxury sexy lingerie and adult products.
The physical store will be discrete and luxurious. It will be targeted at women as well as men. It will be more upmarket than the majority of its competitor stores and offer a more comfortable and less seedy shopping environment.
The online store will follow the same luxurious concept as the physical store. Most adult websites bombard you with hundreds of products and dont have a design concept. Our website will be well thought out and beautiful - giving visitors the same experience as if they had entered our storefront.
We are targeting upmarket customers, who are adventurous but not tacky. They have enough disposable income to want to buy luxurious, high quality lingerie and adult toys. They are looking for a discrete experience, both online and in store. Our female customers will be chic and sophisticated and sexually liberated. They are looking for beautiful, sexy lingerie both to treat themselves, and to please their partners. They dont mind paying for quality and want to enjoy the shopping experience.
For this project, we are seeking a logo design for our company. The logo that we choose will set the foundation for the rest of our brand and materials.
The top 3 things we want to communicate through our logo are:
1. Our logo needs to convey our key brand attributes, which are: Luxurious, Discrete and Sexy.
2. We want new customers to be intrigued and wanting to find out more about what After Nine is.
3. We want our existing customers to be safe in the knowledge that they are dealing with a discrete company that will protect their reputations.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
We are looking for a simple, beautiful, contemporary logo, which is discrete and not tacky.
We like text only designs. Please consider all lower case, all caps etc, and different typefaces and text colors and backgrounds. We do not yet have any brand guidelines so you are starting with a completely blank slate. The design should have the ability to be produced in a one color format, as well as a full color format (number of suitable colors you choose) if needs be. Please note, If you propose a logo with a color background, we will also need an option for it on white.
We would also like to explore options that subtly use or relate to some of the products we will feature in the store. For example, one option might be to somehow incorporate a whip into the design/wording. However, please note, the image cant be too obvious as this may make some of our more conservative customers feel uncomfortable.
Examples of some logos we like, for inspiration, include:

Bebe Jesse: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/1724041105...
We would prefer the layout of the logo to be a rectangle, rather than a square, as this will work more easily with the website and other branding we have in mind. Or, a rectangle of the words with a smaller logo design on top - as shown in the Avenue Jack logo in this link: http://blog.designcrowd.com/article/470/...
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
We are in the early stages of setting up the business and the logo is one of the first things we want to create, as this will guide our website design, store concept, marketing materials etc. We need a logo that works across multiple channels: online, point of sale, apparel, packaging, signage etc so please bear this in mind when developing your concepts.
We will need all of the details of the colors and fonts you use in the final logo design so we can use them consistently across all material going forward.
