LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are an 86 year old Accounting Professional Society in the nation's capitol with a logo almost as old as we are. We have a couple thousand members that are acccoutants and other financial professionals working in Public Accounting, Government, Nonprofits, Business and Industry.
There are CPA societies in every state that you can draw inspiration from. Our official name is the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, or GWSCPA. We also have an Educational Foundation that is a component. If that can be incorporated-great, but it isn't crucial.
Our members are smart, extremely ethical and hardworking and have much more exciting jobs than you might think...
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo that identifies our uniqueness as an association in the greater DC area(areas of Northern VA and Maryland are included), but that also captures the profession in some way.
With people that work with numbers and money, there must be a thousand different ideas you can think of!
Our membership is starting to be a little younger, so nothing too stuffy (like what we have now) but that captures the messages we are trying to convey about our members and our organization:
integrity, intelligence, dedication, resourcefulness, leadership, accountability, prestige,
excitement(since we are growing and changing fast as an organization with a much younger and more energetic staff at the same time that we're going through this re-branding)
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Accountants and other professional that would need the service of an accountant
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I like some font, but not too small or hard to read quickly. If it has lettering, the CPA should be the focal point.
Something young and fun would be ok, but no silly fonts-these are professionals
Colors preferred are creamish, royal blueish and brick redish. We are looking for a muted red, white and blue scheme.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Something that quickly lets people see CPA to ID us
Something that IDs us as DC area but let's stay away from just DC monuments -we aren't a DC toursim organization
