Here is some background on this logo.
I have recently been diagnosed with stage IV Brain Cancer. Despite the odds, I'm determined to be the guy that lives much much longer than the averages. I'm creating a website to document my treatment for friends and family as well as track my medical history. This will include things like a blog and photo galleries. The site will have charts and graphs for some of the medical information (blood stats, etc). I'll also have areas on the site where I'll highlight the products and services I'm using as part of my treatment. The name of the site/organization is A Head of Cancer. The tagline for the site will probably be something like "One man's quest to beat the disease". Hopefully that helps give some background on what I'm doing.
The longer term goal is to try and raise donations which will go to fund brain cancer research.
As far as the logo itself, the site I'm currently working on developing is www.aheadofcancer.com
When you go to that page, it's currently just a default site without any content. There is a template applied which has the colors that will likely make up the site. You can also see the navigational components that will likely be there as well when the site is further developed. A lot of other things, like the overall layout will be changed.
