360 brand machine is a new brand consulting/ad agency start up. Were all about being progressive, honest and offering full circle branding innovation to clients. Were also edgy. We believe that the best brands are created by really understanding what customers want and then helping clients deliver a full circle brand solution (products, pricing, place and promotion). Our specialty is automotive but were also helping out other companies in other categories as well.
Here is what we need:
The logo will appear on stationery, in PowerPoint presentations, product packaging, signage, clothing, websites, etc.
Our target audience is:
We are targeting progressive thinking brand and marketing types, primarily in automotive, but secondarily in other general markets: furniture, retail, etc. These folks are youthful, stylish and hip; they understand advanced design and cultural trends. Some of these targets might be designers like you. The winning designs will be those that would make a cool designer go thats cool. It will telegraph our firm as people that get it.

Heres the deal: wed like to explore a couple looks:
a.) Motown Muscle: muscle car badges and fender tags from the 60s can serve as inspiration; especially the old crossed flags used by Chevy and Ford for their fender badges. Inside the flags, maybe we could have bold icons that show innovation, industriousness and a rebel streak (military flight team logos are great at this). Dont want the look to be too retro thoughthink advanced and contemporary. What would those badges look like if they had continued evolving from the 60s to today? A car designer should get goosebumps looking at this design.
b.) Design boutique/think tank: This look would push the envelope on chic, advanced and fashion forward. Extra points for cool and clean logotype and a minimalist but provocative expression that conveys the 360 brand machine essence. Think cool designer logos, iPod, etc.
Our design absolutely must have:
Edge. Cool. Hip. Distinctiveness. Thoughtful use of color. Must be readable in PC format.
Things we dont like or don't need for this project or other things to avoid using, doing, seeing, etc.
Dont want to get too biker or Grateful Dead with the Motown Muscle executions. Dont want to scare people.
