Creative brief

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

New Era Capital

What is your industry?

Financial Services

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

1. Modern - Classic
2. Sophisticated
3. Defiant

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

I like logos with an image and/or text. For New Era Capital, it could go either way (although I tend to be partial to logos with a strong and creative image - image can be a play on the words of the name, abbreviations, or some other image).

1. The Mansion - (this is my top pick-love the background)
2. Merrill Lynch - (like image, dislike font)
2. Bear Stearns - (like font)
3. Altorius - (like the colors and tones, dislike everything else)
4. Fine Cell Work - (like colors and font)
5. Tahnee Freeman - (like the font)
6. Freedom - (like the creativity)
7. Textura -
8. House of Nobles -

1. JPG - (decent font, don't like the image)
2. JPMorgan Chase -
3. Lehman Brothers -
4. Fast Top -

To help make any connections with the company, the name "New Era" comes from the New National Era - a newspaper created by Frederick Douglas in the 1870s in DC. Here is what the font used looked like - (this sort of font does not need to be used - especially if it subtracts from the overall image)

I am also partial to ancient Egyptian Pharaohs and Pyramidia. Pharaoh means "great house" which is relevant to an investment company that will deal with real estate. And the pyramidion is relevant to any company that desires to reach its apex. An idea (please note that I am not the creative type so do away with this idea if it is not useful) is to have the background incorporate elements of a pharaoh or pyramidion like The Mansion ( does with its design.
