Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

Business Name

Onondaga Physical Therapy, LLC

What do you do?

We provide outpatient physical therapy. We are uniquely located inside fitness centers which gives us access to the facility, but at the same time we have our private space for consultations and hands on work. We treat a wide variety of patients including school aged kids to the elderly. It is our job to get people out of pain and get them back to their prior level of activity. We offer traditional manual and exercise based physical therapy but also offer aquatic therapy in 3 of our 4 locations.

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

Onondaga Physical Therapy

You'll receive designs for biz cards, letterhead and envelopes.

We'd like to continue to work with our awarded creative to complete follow-up design work, after this project has been completed. Here are some of the additional design work we have in mind:

I would also be interested in an editable document that can be used as a "tip sheet". It would be a color printout where we could insert pictures and text to highlight a specialty of ours. We currently have one titled "aquatic therapy" and "back and neck pain". In addition, we would be looking to get an updated tri-fold brochure made. We would provide the content, but need the design work provided elsewhere. There is a longer list of other updates we would need: appointment reminder cards, Injury screen cards, rack cards, etc.

What is your industry?

Health Care and Biotech

Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery

We are targeting a large age range - anywhere from a mom looking to find therapy for a child all the way to an elderly person on a cane or walker. Health care decisions in general are more often made by females, but many males still decide where to go. Our ideal client is an elderly person with good insurance, but again we love to work with the younger athlete as well. Most people have insurance coverage for therapy, but we prefer those with higher incomes as they often have better coverage. We are looking to attract local individuals in the metro Syracuse, NY area.

We want people that value health and are committed to getting themselves back to being active. We want people that care about themselves and value healthcare realizing it is going to cost them money.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?

You can view our core values right from the link on our main website:
1. We provide individualized one on one care unlike many of our competitors
2. We provide a high level of customer service unlike typical medicine - we are flexible with extended hours... ultimately we do what it take to make our patients happy
3. We offer amazing facilities with great teamwork and an environment that promotes ongoing health and healing.

What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

We like our current image and text, just want to get away from anything related to the stick figure. We are open to suggestions whether image, text or a combo. My gut tells me that I like the image idea however.

What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?

We like our current color scheme, but aren't opposed to looking at something new. We do realize the main logo is changing so we are thinking the colors could or couldn't change. The main colors now: #755426 #6B3021 #003F77

What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?

I want to stay away from the bright, neon, flashy colors. We are a professional medical organization and need to portray this.

What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?

Professional, Experienced, Trusted, Customer service oriented, . I'm not sure if I want to look local or corporate... we do have 4 locations in the Syracuse NY area, but at the same time are so liked because we aren't "corporate" like. I think I want something inbetween... not a mom and pop, but not be so corporate people will lose our local connection.

More than anything I want something unique - if you look at google images for physical therapy logo most are the same - that stick figure. I want to stand out in the crowd and build a brand.

Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?

Everywhere: online, website, brochures, promotional items, etc.

Do you have additional info or links you want to share?

DO NOT use a stick figure person (we currently use this and DO NOT want it. I do like our business card design with the shadow feature... I think this is neat.

Brief updates

So far, I am liking the unique logo's and still want to stay away from a "stick" figure person. Still trying to find that logo that screams Onondaga Physical Therapy. I like the more modern and high tech fonts for sure. The color choices have all been pretty good. Thanks for your updates. I would be happy to look at any other ideas!

As I look at more logos and invite other people, I am really liking the simple, sleek and more modern look. Professionalism is very important, but I don't want and outdated look. Thanks to everyone!

I would also entertain any logo projects that don't have an image... like FedEx, Subway, Yahoo or Google. Thanks.

We love what is coming in so far... one last thought: Does anyone have a way to use our initials, OPT, as a logo creatively? OPT of course stands for Onondaga Physical Therapy. Thanks.

I am extending the deadline so I can give my staff time to vote on a project next week. Thanks for everyone's ideas and if you have any final thoughts, please share ASAP.

I have extended the deadline into next week so that my staff can have time to vote on the final projects... If you have different versions of stationary, please share them so we can vote based on stationary ideas. Thanks!!

After having an informal vote, people are liking how OPT is made into the logo... Does anyone have another idea on what we can do with our initials? How can we make our OPT turn into our logo and mean something. An idea a staff member had was to make each letter look like a "person". I'm wondering how a font change, shadows, coloring, etc. can make OPT look like its own unique logo. Thanks.

Hi all,

We just wanted to let you know that the buyer in this project has requested a refund. And, because we offer Buyers a money back guarantee, sometimes we have to make good on that promise.

Thanks so much for your efforts and creativity.
