Who are you?
My name is Paige Cowan and I have owned Wildbird (a retail store) for 17 years. I am looking to freshen up the brand and look of my store.
Wildbird is a neighbourhood store in Toronto, Ontario. When you walk in there are well worn floor boards, burning candles and the scent of essential oils. The focus of the store is on locally made items and reclaimed furniture and lamps.
There is sort of a sanctuary feeling to the store. People come to buy gifts, birdseed, bird feeders, books on personal growth, Buddhism, garden sculptures, local art, handmade jewelery, creams, oils and candles.
PLEASE see the attached photos to give you a sense of the store.
What do you need?
I am looking for a logo to use in a variety of ways. It will be painted onto our store sign out front-- which people will see as they drive by.
It will also be used for labels on products such as creams, essential oils, business cards, letterhead etc.
Who Is Your Audience?
I have a wide variety of loyal customers ranging in ages. Customers are usually upper-middle class people. They are people with cottages and people who want to spend money on their gardens. They are looking for local, made in Ontario, one of a kind items. They are looking for a personal experience.
I am looking for a logo that evokes warmth and friendliness as opposed to being "cool" and cutting edge and really technical.
We Like These Examples
See the attachment called Green Bird Party. I like the birds in this example, and I like the colour tones but I would like the logo to move away from green-- since that is what we have had for years-- and possibly work with hues of blue-- bright happy, eye-catching blue. Do not be afraid to add a little further colour elsewhere.
There are two fonts that I like in particular on the website www.dafont.com
One of them is called INGELBY and the other font is called Champagne and Limousines.
Here are the links:
We Absolutely Must Have
Wildbird is the name of the company. Lowercase. Please see the thoughts above about font suggestions.
I definitely envision a bird of some kind in this logo-- similar to the bird carrying the berries in the attachment "green bird party."
