LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Our company is a new Danish non-profit social organisation and community, facilitating an online network for all types of diagnosed patients and handicapped + their families and friends with a 24/7 online support system, personal profiles and stories, chat rooms, blogs, Q&A, debate forums and much more.

The focus is on the PERSON and LIFE instead of the disease or diagnosis and death, contrary to many existing patient-communities that only have limited personal interaction and mostly are anonymous and lifeless.

We want to contribute to the world by providing this space, and giving the traditional authority based health-system a new face. We plan to air the community for a test-period starting Monday the 30th of March 2009 for a group of 3-5000 Danish users, and are in a hurry to have the visual identity established.

Facebook and similar sites are huge in Denmark, people love finding their identity on the internet, and we predict our site to have an enormous potential with up to one million potential users and profiles.

Your helping us create a powerful visual identity will make a HUGE difference for us, and will help us tremendously in launching our online community. Any suggestions and contributions are highly appreciated. Dont hesitate to ask.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A logo. An icon or a symbol connected to the logo to be used as an avatar, as a visual identification on websites etc.

5-6 basic color palette

A complete stationary (letterhead, businesscards, ect) and visual identity with colors, fonts and design suggestions, also to be used on posters, postcards, other PR materials.

A possible look and colors for the different buttons (also hoverbutton) used on the site

We have a long list of pay-offs and powerful sentences /quotes that we want to flash on the sides. We need a font and a set of colors to use for these as well. Examples: Together we make a difference, We dont know when we die, but we choose how to live, because friends matter

Important that the suggestions for fonts have to be standard fonts

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

We wish to attract to the community all types of people going through the possible fearful transitions and life changes a disease or diagnosis can cause for them or their families, and give them a space to blog, ask and answer questions, share, write diary, mentor each other, and take back control for their well-being and contentment.

We wish to attract also families and friends to the site to write about and share their thoughts and experiences

We hope to attract health-care professionals, therapists and knowledge persons as well

We aim at all ages, 12-90 years, from all groups of society.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like: Bright, light, happy colors signaling health and vitality, quality and hope.

Both a fresh, lively bubbly and yet mature, serious clean look, appealing to all age groups.

As for the icon, we like something that connects people, is uplifting and signals hope and love and connection.

It can be symbols of people connecting, or associations hereof.

Has to appeal to both feminine and masculine energy.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

All material must be in .gif or .jpg. No flash files.

Top-banner dimension is width 955 pix. No limits on heights

Optional use of margins on the website. Possible for us to use both pictures or colors there.

We dont like: too trendy or young. Has to appeal to all age-groups. It cannot be like a medicine-community or too commercial looking. Not to gloomy or heavy. Not too complicated or hard to read.
