LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
I have just started a new company and am in the process of placing my first DVD kiosk for use. The business concept is placing and maintaining automated vending machines that rent dvd's and video games to anyone that has a valid credit card and wants to use the dvd or game. The first machine will be placed in a convenience store that is open from 7 AM to 10 pm. It is a customer-self serve machine that i can manage through the web, so i've actually placed my first machine in a town called Vernon, BC Canada which is an hour and half from my home in Revelstoke, BC Canada. Once I've figured out the nuances of the inventory management of the machine, I plan to have a number of kiosks in small destination towns all over British Columbia. The name of my company is "Version Convenient Rentals". It is currently registered as a sole proprietorship, but if the concept proves itself i will be converting it to a corporation.
I am a bit of serial entrepeneur. My first successful company is/was Chrome 52 www.chrome52.com. I have an old bio up there if you want more info on me... C52 is currently launching a new project at www.blastramp.com or www.twitter.com/blastramp as there really isn't much up at our public facing site yet...
I am a fun/loving person that likes creating entities that make money and have good style at the same time, so this design is an important piece for me.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
I need an identity/logo that can eventually be used on and/or influence all stationary and web assets. Stationary will be all the standard issue pieces along with a biz-card like coupon that will allow customers a free rental etc...
Also I need a business card design that I can take to the printers.
I would like a design that is influenced by web 2.0 but has heavy retro influences to it. I would also like to see fun and sattire in on the design if possible. I want people to understand VCR is legit, but they don't need to take live too seriously to still make money...
to view what the kiosk looks like please go to http://www.dvdnowkiosks.com/110.asp
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
1) people with a valid credit card, that live in BC Canada.
2) convenience store owners and grocery store chain managers
3) general business community
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I created a retro looking kiosk that I kind of like, but I clearly don't have any design skills please find it attached...
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
something! I'd like to leave this open to the creatives as i'm hoping for significant feedback.
